Miss Regina - Thoughts On Education

December 21, 2004

Thanks to Ms. Katie for letting me know about this NPR story discussing kindergarten report cards. This conversation has been going on at our school for years. I believe our kindergarten report cards are quite overwhelming and that families most basically want to know if their child is doing alright in school, not be inundated with data. It seems that families would rather talk to teachers directly about specific issues and areas in which their child is excelling or struggling. Am I wrong? I'd love to know what you think.

Take good care,

Regina
