ASAI
Asai discovered the joy of performing as a small child and has been inspiring her family and friends with various performances in small settings in Japan. Two years after she came to Seattle to study business, Asai’s desire to dance was wakened when she learned of the beautiful form of belly dance. She joined Amelia’s dance classes and realized her true love for the dance. Asai’s ability to truly dance to the music comes from both the gifted instruction of her teacher and her intense study of the piano, which began at just four years of age and continued until she left Japan as an adult. Asai’s dance style is clear, technically precise, and energetic on stage. Her dance is inspired by the fundamental love she has for dancing. With The Circle, Asai has performed at various shows and festivals including the Middle Eastern Fantasy Festival, Seattle Hempfest, Northwest Folklife Festival. Asai also choreographs and performs her own solo pieces.
