Activities

People often ask about activities in the area. There are many things to do, and I will update this page to keep renters informed about the many fun things to do in and around Todi.

Cooking Classes: Fattoria del Vibio is a hotel and restaurant set in the hills above Todi, about a 25 minute drive from our house. The Fattoria is happy to organize cooking classes as well as wine, cheese and olive oil tastings. Please visit their web site at the link below.

Food Tours: Although I leave a list of my favorite food purveyors in the house, I am also happy to organize and conduct personalized food tours of Umbria. I am an experienced food and travel writer, and would love to share my love affair with Umbrian food with you. We will visit wineries, cheese makers, olive oil presses and more. For details please email me.

Events in Umbria:Umbria Online: I've just discovered this useful site that lists, in English, various activities, events and happenings all over Umbria. Cultural events as well as things like guided hikes. Click on the link below to see the latest news.

Staying in Rome: Guests often begin or end their trip in Rome and ask me for reccomendations (which I am happy to give!). For more help planning your trip you can depend on Context Rome, an agency that can organize anything you have in mind: from cell phone rentals, car and drivers to cooking classes and visits to museums. They are very resourceful and can also help you in Umbria as well as other Italian Cities. Click on the link below, and feel free to mention my name.

Hiring a good tour guide in Rome will help you make the best use of your time. I know two very good, English speaking, guides:
Iris Carulli, imcarulli@hotmail.com
Sienna Reid, www.tourvatican.com

If you are food inclined, and want to explore Florence, contact Judy Witts, at http://www.divinacucina.com/. She orgazines one day cooking courses right in the center of town.
