Linda had an imporant birthday celebrated at Pete's harbor with some special pals. We a great sail on Octavia (the small boat) with new sailling friends Len and Patti from Stanford. We had amazing, sometimes heart-pounding sail on Torrens to South Beach. We had big winds (30 knots) on the northern leg, but it was great. Torrens is the boat to be on when the wind picks up. Spent two fine days at South Beach with a great dinner at Townsend. Joe visited us on his afternoon bike ride. The downwind return leg started off serenely, but the winds picked up as did the chop and we had a roller coaster ride back to Pete's harbor. Old friend Jonathan joined us and did great at the helm. Mike managed to dock the boat without destroying the neighbor's boats and we were met by Halyard the cat and Eric -- another old friend from Apple.
