After several startups and a 3-year stint at IDEO, I've returned to an academic setting. I've joined the Stanford Center for Innovation in Learning -- a new entity headed by Dr. Roy Pea (who is also a professor in the Stanford University School of Education). The Center will conduct original research aimed at making fundamental contributions from interdisciplinary approaches to advancing theory, methods, design practices, research, technology innovations and communities in learning sciences and technologyparticularly in K-12 and teacher education. It will also explore innovative models of research and knowledge transfer.
At the moment, I'm working with Roy and others on an innovative system enabling researchers in learning to record and analyze rich panoroamic video records of classroom teaching.
