Sports Judge was an interactive exhibit built for the Ontario Science Centre. It allowed people to explore the topic of expert perception in the ream of sports: for example, what does the expert diving or gymnastics see in the performance of a skill that the ordinary person does not. In the exhibit people were presented with a pair of performances which were very similar on the surface and asked to choose the better performance. After being a judge, visitors would see an animated tutorial with graphic overlays explaining why one performance was better. These explanations often presented the biomechanical underpinnings of the skill.
