I was the lead interface designer for 3COM's Audrey information appliance. The challenge was to develop an easy-to-use device that was not supposed to feel like a computer. I developed coded prototypes illustrating the concept of channels or information streams which the user could "dial" into using a rotary knob. I also developed the navigation and interface techniques used in the project and worked with industrial designers on the hardware design.
