Transition Factory grew out of the Dynamic Documents project and was one of the first tools allowing users to create movie transitions via drag-and-drop. Jonathan Cohen developed the interface design and coded the implementation of the tool. Transition Factory was the first tool of its kind to use animated transition icons showing exactly the nature of the transition and to use the animation as templates which create the desired transition in real-time by modifying the movie data. We were awarded a patent for this work.
