We share a passion for creating fully accessible and integrated outdoor environments that appeal to all our senses. Plants are of great importance here and with a sound horticultural knowledge we are able to use them to provide a wide range of sensory experiences. As well as encouraging touch, taste and smell, plants add movement to a garden and when used creatively, magical environments are brought alive. Plants change with the seasons adding a dynamic element to the garden and providing a wealth of educational opportunities. Man-made objects too have an important role to play in our gardens. We use many different materials in our designs to provide a range of visual and tactile experiences and to encourage exploration. Mirrors, fabrics, acrylics, metals are just a few of the materials we commonly utilise.
Each of our gardens has a clear overall structure to ensure a coherent well-designed space is obtained suitable to our client’s unique needs. The elements within are well proportioned and balanced to create harmonious yet stimulating and fun outdoor retreats. Paths, lines of desire and focal points are carefully planned to encourage movement and to create journeys through our gardens.
If you wish for an outdoor sensory space but restrictions on budgets will not allow for a full design service we offer a range of tailor made plantings from colour wheels to sensory circles.
We also offer a range of outdoor musical products and work in collaboration with Mike Ayres Design, a well-established specialist sensory company, to manufacture and offer exciting sensory products for outdoor spaces.
