A good friend David Wilson who used to live in the area put these two routes together for me when I spent a weekend up near Llangollen with my road bike. Day 1 is the longer of the two rides and takes in some classic and challenging climbs with great scenery. Day 2 is a bit shorter, sympathetic with tired legs, and takes in the well-known Horseshoe pass. Both routes start from the tiny hamlet of Glyndyfrdwy, just a few miles west of Llangollen on the A5, simply becuase I was staying at a great outdoors-oriented pub there. The guides are presented exactly as David wrote them... "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and all that!
