Cornwall doesn't have an awful lot of what I would call great cross-country riding. 99% of my dirt-based riding takes (or rather 'took') place in such locations as Dartmoot, Exmoor, ocasional trips to the Peak District and the odd event... Polaris, Iron Lemming etc etc. I put this bike together in spring 2003, had lots of fun with it and then sold it in winter 2005. I planned to replace it in early 2006 but then I went and spent all my spare cash on my Isaac,,, can't do it all I suppose! In 2007 another mountain bike would be a good thing as I miss it. Besides I want to pick up on the Polaris again.. and there's also the '07 Singlespeed World Champs to come.....

Build was a mix pof XT and XTR based on the £/performance ratio... Wheels were DT hubs on X317 rims with DT Revolution spokes, Hope Mini brakes and a FOX F80RLT fork. The whole lot weighed in at 25lbs which wasn't bad for a 1st generation Epic frame. I can't remember what the build cost in the end, whatever it was it was worth it.
