One of the functions of the AAS club is to have astronomy related events. Some events are regularly scheduled, and others are special events.
The event calendar lists all regularly scheduled events and also all the special events. Also, moon phases and other astronomical information is included.

At meetings the club discusses club business, what's in the sky for the current month, planned star parties for the month, and any astronomy related item that members wish to bring up. The meetings are informal, and anybody is welcome to attend.
Also, there is a Planetarium show before the meeting (at 7:00 PM). The Planetarium show is giving by an Arrowhead Astronomical Society member on the second Wednesday of every month.
Club meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at 8:00 PM at the Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium.
Every month the club tries to have at least one observing session, weather permitting. These observing sessions are held at Korrki, a site 20 minutes out of Duluth.
These sessions are scheduled at the monthly meeting, and are listed on the calendar (see below).
Two observing sessions are listed, one is the primary date and the other is the rain date (if it is cloudy/raining/snowing on the primary date, we observe on the rain date instead). Check this link for sky conditions at Korrki: Clear Sky - Korrki
For more information about the Korrki site, please contact AAS or an AAS member.
Special Events are arranged at the monthly meeting and are listed below, and also in the AAS calendar.
