The History of Huron County, Ohio

A Member Site of the American Local History Network

Welcome to the History & Genealogy of Huron County

Huron County is located in North Central Ohio.  Its county seat is the Maple City, Norwalk. It is the home of the Norwalk Furniture Company, the birthplace of Paul Brown, founder and coach of the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals and the location of the International Hot Rod Association.

My name is Michael Graham and I am hosting this site for the American Local History Network. I am proud to not only host this, but also the site for Henry County.  The history of these two counties is important to me because they are 'family seats' for my own family.

This site is going to be under constant construction, but I will try to keep it neat and tidy. Please feel free to e-mail me with any information you have concerning the families of the Firelands. I am not able to research personal histories, but will make available any information I come across.
