Welcome to the image archive for St Mary's, Battersea. At the moment pictures are arranged by date order - click on the date to the right to see the pictures from that day. If anyone has suggestions for other ways of organising the images I'd be happy to hear them (though I'd struggle to get as sophisticated as a stock image library in terms of keywording etc.).

If you need a hi-resolution version of an image for publication or printing then drop me a line (link below). I need the filename of the image (shown underneath the image in the thumbnail view, and at the top of the screen in the enlarged view), and as much of the following information as possible:
1. Image format (e.g. JPEG, Photoshop)
2. If the image needs to be a particular size for printing
3. If the image needs to be a particular resolution (usually expressed as Dots Per Inch, or dpi)
4. If the image needs to be a particular colour space (AdobeRGB and sRGB are most common - mine are usually Adobe RGB)

If you don't know the answers to any of the above then don't worry - almost without exception images on the site can be provided at a size and in a format which will be suitable for printing up to at least A4 size.

All the images are copyright by whoever took them (me, at the moment!) - all this means is that you need my permission before using them.

Finally a word on the right to use images of people. Technically, if a recognisable person appears in an image they should give their permission for the image to be used, usually by signing a 'model release' form. I haven't obtained model releases from any of the people who feature in the images, assuming that, on the whole, they will be happy for their likeness to be used to promote the church. The one exception I would make would be for images of children, where permission should ideally be sought from parents before an image is used - as I don't know the children's names I'll have to leave this down to whoever is using the image to sort out.

Thanks

Mike Ferguson
