Suzuki Piano Plus Policies
Lessons
Date and time Lessons are currently
scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Lesson times are
posted on the weekly calendar.
Monday lessons that fall on holidays (e.g., Columbus Day, ML King
Day) will be offered as scheduled. Lessons are scheduled consecutively,
so families should plan to arrive in a timely manner. If you arrive early,
you are invited to enter quietly.
Location With few exceptions, lessons take place at the George Kent
Performance Hall. Occasionally, lessons will take place at Dr. Campbell's home
at 21
Park Ave. in Westerly, which is about a half mile from GKPH.
Cancellations and makeup lessons If your child(ren) must
miss a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours notice, if possible. If
you would like to make up the missed lesson, please check the calendar,
which is almost always current. If you cancelled the lesson in a timely
manner, and it is not possible to make up the lesson , then you will receive
credit for lesson(s)missed on the invoice for the following payment.
Fees and payment You will receive an invoice
via email shortly before each payment is due. You may pay at the lesson
or mail a check to Dr. Campbell. Families are expected to pay in a timely
manner; if you have extenuating circumstances, please feel free to discuss
them with me. The administrative fee is due with the first payment;
concert fees are due around the time of the concert; they will be included
in the appropriate payment.
Concerts
Suzuki Piano Plus students will again present three concerts during the 2007-2008 year. All three concerts take place on Sunday afternoons (November 4, March 1, and June 1 ) at 4 PM. The concerts will take place at the George Kent Performance Hall in Westerly. They are open to the public: family and friends of students and other guests are welcome.
Because of the considerable expense of making the hall available for use, Suzuki Piano Plus must rent the facility for the concerts. To help defray the cost of renting the facility, an annual concert rental fee of $30 is assessed to each family. It is due with the November payment.
