Suzuki instruction is most successful when there is a working partnership among student, parent, and teacher. At least one parent accompanies the student to each lesson, serves as the teacher's surrogate during practice, creates times for listening, and ensures that the student has the necessary equipment and materials—piano, music, CDs, etc.—to study effectively.
