George states parents as Frederick and Nancy Hurd in his Newton, MA marriage certificate. Also brother William Hurd (in 1850 Census) states parents as Frederick and "Mary" Hurd on death certificate. Possibly Benjamin Wingate Heard. Jonathan's sister Olive Heard married Benjamin Wingate in Rochester. Benjamin in turn names a daughter Olive.
Also living with Benjamin and Susannah in 1870 is Valentine age 21 (illegible name) who may or may not be the Eliza in the 1880 census age 34. Both are listed as born in Missouri.
