About the Pivot Pattern Web Site Welcome to the Pivot Pattern Web Site. The web site will host various papers I have written or am writing about the Pivot Pattern, a poetic device found in Biblical Hebrew. The original paper was submitted to Professor Walter L. Michel in partial fulfillment of the requirements of Graduate Biblical Seminar III: The Writings taught at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago in the Spring of 1996. I was a student in this class during my doctoral residency at the Chicago Theological Seminary. Please note that all work is the intellectual property of Marshall H.
