My summer vacation started off quick.  My mother had an Australian Day Camp for one week in June.  My group was called the Rat Bags.

We hiked all the time.  we learned how to use a compass and a topo mapl  After we learned, we used our inowledge to hike to another camp about four miles away.  We camped in the woods and lost our way on the way back.

A week after day camp, our family went to Gulf Shores, Alabama to spend a week.  We mostly swam and made sandcastles.  We also spotted dolphins.

A week after that I went ot spen ten days at Bear Creek Aquatic Camp.  I learned how to sail a large 4 person sail boat.  We sailed around the bay and took a sailing trip to Land Between the lakes. I also learned camp songs and games.  I had a very busy summer.
