Warning: There Be Dragons Beyond This Point.
These writings are posted in the spirit of the virtual classroom. I
have enjoyed many conversations with people who are willing to enter into
the exploration of these ideas. Some of the concepts are more
difficult than others. Some papers are tentative, others complete.
Explore at your own risk.
This, then, is what I pray, kneeling before the Father,
from whom every family, whether spiritual or natural, takes its name:
Out of his infinite glory, may he give you the power
through his Spirit for your hidden self to grow strong, so that Christ
may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built
on love, you will with all the saints have strength to grasp the breadth
and the length, the height and the depth: until, knowing the love of Christ,
which is beyond all knowledge, you are filled with the utter fullness of
God.
Glory be to him whose power, working in us, can do
infinitely more than we can ask or imagine; glory be to him from generation
to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen
.

Question:
If an organization has a guiding, shared vision that is in turn replicated
throughout the system, and the organization is continually learning, then
a Learning Organization has emerged.
The question is how to create such a system. How to create the
opportunity for each person to develop new models for analyzing and making
sense of our current systems? To develop deep, personal mastery,
or Profound Learning? To create a shared vision with others?
To be part of team learning? And how to provide suficient leadership
within the system to keep it balanced between order and chaos?

Wheel of Time
A brief discussion of character development in Lord of Chaos and
A
Crown of Swords, books 6 and 7 of the Wheel of Time Series by
Robert Jordan.
All those years in school, I had to analyze literature, dig out the
nuances of plot and character, all for a grade or for the approval of teacher
and/or class. Now, I understand what it's really for.
Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time books are read and discussed by
thousands upon thousands of people. What is the appeal?
What is it that Jordan sees? This is good adventure, sure, but he
has his finger on something new, something undefined in today's society.
Read the books for the fun of it, but don't be surprised if you find youself
worrying at the details. If you do, it's ok. You're
on the cutting edge.
If you haven't read the books, start with The
Eye of the World . Read slowly, and enjoy the trip!
Do you really think Darth Vader turned into a sweet old guy and Luke,
Han, and Leia went to play with the Ewoks? In 1980, it might have been
different. Just for fun!
Jedi Question has been translated into Polish!
"People like various things about your book: prequel-time ideas, Phaneen,
no Ewoks :), no twins, Luke perilously close to the Darkside, a walking
Jabba...For me, The Jedi Question goes side by side with
Return
of the Jedi; it's so vivid I can see it playing before my eyes, movie-like."
