Dr. Ogundipe received his B.S. Degree in December 1982 from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he graduated Cum Laude. He subsequently received his M.D. Degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 1987, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and served as Chairman of the organization from 1986 to 1987. Dr. Ogundipe completed his Post-graduate Education and Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Harbor - U.C.L.A. and Cedars-Sinai Medical Centers.
He became Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine in 1994 and 1996 respectively. Following his fellowship in 1993, he was appointed an Assistant Professor of OB/GYN within the U.C.L.A. system where he attained the position of Chief, Division of Obstetrics and Associate Residency Program Director at King/Drew Medical Center in the late 1990's. He is on staff at a number of local hospitals and serves on various IPA and Health Plan Committees. Presently, he is the Director of Obstetrics Quality Assurance at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood. He previously served as Director of Perinatal Services at Centinela and Daniel Freeman Hospitals in Inglewood and Long Beach Community Hospital in Long Beach, California.
In 2001, Dr. Ogundipe received the Vincentian Spirit Award - Highest honor to a physician - at St. Francis Medical Center. He served as Chairman, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Francis Medical Center from 2000 to 2002. He has authored and co-authored several manuscripts in peer review journals and textbook chapters and has received recognitions and awards both locally and internationally for his work in medicine. He is currently the Chief of Staff Elect and Chairman of the Quality Assurance/Continuous Improvement Board at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California.
