Dramatic Order Knights of Khorassan

The Dramatic Order Knights of Khorassan a recognized auxiliary of the Order Knights of Pythias, a pre-requisite of acceptability for initiation is membership in a subordinate Pythian Lodge. None but Pythians may join.

While composed entirely of Pythians, the meetings, ceremonials, customs and plans of the D.O.K.K. are refreshingly different form the usual lodge pattern.

All men enjoy fun and frolic... the D.O.K.K. provides, the best in what is known as the "Eighth Order."

The D.O.K.K. ritual teaches valuable lessons of life. The scene exemplifying the motto, "Lift up the Fallen," is rated one of the finest ritualistic parts ever written.

Ceremonials of initiation consist of seven scenes, highly dramatic, presented with excellent effect from a regular lodge room floor, stage or large auditorium.

Local organizations are known as Temples and are found throughout the United States and Canada.

Temples draw their membership from among many lodges; bring Pythians into closer contact and co-operative activity.

The D.O.K.K. is governed by a international organization known as the Imperial Palace, similar to the Supreme Lodge, except that it deals with the Temples and has no State body similar to a Grand Lodge. The business office of the Imperial Palace is located in 613 N River Dr, Marion, IN 46952-2648 and is operated by Martin Koehler the Imperial Secretary of the Dramatic Order Knights of Khorassan.

For further information contact any Officer of the nearest Dokey Temple (see the Directory under downloadable files) or email the Imperial Secretary by clicking on the contact link below.

Respectfully, Martin F. Koehler, PIP, Imperial Secretary
