Lance Ellington comes from a show business family reminiscent of those 1950’s movie’s where all of a sudden everyone gets up and performs a flawless ‘off the cuff’ song and dance routine in someones living room.
Lance’s father was legendary bandleader/entertainer Ray Ellington, his two daughter’s Lauren and Lois are both performing regularly in major West End musicals. His wife Mirielle was (before becoming a full time mum) a professional dancer who toured with the Pet Shop Boy’s (amongst other’s). Lance’s father in law is famed percussionist Robin Jones who has played with many of the jazz great’s including Stan Getz.. The Ellington list goes on (and on).
Each family member is both extremely talented and highly professional.

Ray Ellington is famous for popularising UK jazz in the 1950/60’s. His flamboyant image and musical talent lead to him and his group (The Ray Ellington Quartet) becoming the house band for the Goon Show with Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan.
His records are still on sale today...
Master percussionist of world renown, Robin Jones enjoys an envied musical pedigree not only as the leader of King Salsa and the Robin Jones Latin Jazz Sextet.
