After Melinda is mysteriously given the file number of a murder case her father prosecuted in 1979, she embarks on a quest to determine if the young victim’s murder or trial is tied to her father’s long-ago disappearance.
Eric Laneuville (“Home But Not Alone” and 7 others) directs a script by Executive Producer P.K. Simonds (“All Ghosts Lead to Grandview” and 2 others) and Co-execuive Producer Laurie McCarthy (“Double Exposure” and 3 others). Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe nominee Tess Harper (Crimes of the Heart, Tender Mercies) guest stars as the victim’s mother along with Emmy Award nominee Corin Nemec (I Know My First Name Is Steven) as the boy’s convicted killer.Melinda helps a ghost that at first doesn’t want to be helped, going so far as to possessing his 8-year-old son to tell his mother that she needs to force Melinda to leave, that they don’t need her help. His mother realizes she’s been keeping him there and that it’s best that he crosses over. Until speaking with him, Melinda is sure the same man killed him that killed her father but after finally getting the ghost to talk to her, she realizes that is not true.
