When a restaurant burns down for the second time, Melinda tries to help an angry ghost who was accused of setting the original restaurant fire that killed him. Peter O’Fallon directed the episode from a script by David Fallon.
Jay Mohr returns in a recurring role as Professor Rick Payne. Jason Gedrick (Windfall) guest stars as the business partner of the ghost.
Melinda first sees the burning ghost inside the restaurant after it burns down for the second time. He tells her that he was not the one who set the restaurant on fire when it burned down the year before and Melinda tries to help him clear his name. Meanwhile, Melinda remembers the night that she and Jim met when a fire erupted in the building next door to where she lived.
