The spirit of the mother of a teenage boy attempts to communicate with her son via white noise. Melinda must find a way to get her messages across. Kevin Hooks directed the episode from a script by John Belluso.
Christine Baranski (Cybill) guest stars as Jim’s mother and John M. Jackson (JAG) guest stars as the boy’s father.
Melinda helps the spirit of a mother communicate with her troubled teenage son through the “white noise” of voices heard in electronic devices. Christine Baranski (Cybill) guest stars as Jim’s mother and John M. Jackson (JAG) guest stars as the boy’s father. After Melinda and Jim hear voices behind the static in their car radio, Melinda determines that they are spirit voices via the electronic voice phenomenon. Melinda realizes that one of the voices is from the mother of a troubled teenage boy who is trying to reach out to her son. Faced with the challenge of trying to interpret “white noise,” Melinda must figure out a way to piece together the messages from the mother and effectively communicate them to her son so she can crossover.
