Circle of Make-Believe is a Video-Based Program
of Learning Games to Play Anytime, Anyplace in
Homes or Any Other Childcare Setting to Strengthen
School-Readiness Skills of 3-5 Year-old Children

This web site has an online version of the program, including an Introduction to playing the games, links to the Games and Materials and a Manual to download.

About: Circle of Make-Believe is a video-based program that engages 3-5 year-olds in playful learning games that can strengthen their school-readiness skills: pre-literacy (vocabulary, letters), math and reasoning (counting, numbers, shapes, sequencing, spatial relationships), social skills (politeness, emotional literacy, sharing), and fine motor skills (drawing, pretend writing). The games are also lots of fun!

The 37-minute video features actual preschoolers and their caregivers playing seven learning games. The 24-page manual includes comprehensive guidelines and materials for each game.

The program was tested with over 100 parents, home care providers and preschool teachers in communities across the USA. They reported noticable gains in childrens' school-readiness skills after playing the games for just two weeks.
