Marian Concus is a versatile flutist in both Philadelphia and the San Francisco Bay Area. She currently is a member of California based Fremont Symphony and Santa Cruz County Symphony. In addition, she served as solo piccoloist with the Boise Philharmonic. In Philadelphia, Marian Concus was guest soloist at the 2007 Philadelphia Harp Festival and performed a solo recital on the Brown Bag Concert Series at Church of the Holy Trinity in Rittenhouse Square.
Ms. Concus has recorded in Paris with Adama, with Chicago based Maxwell Street Klezmer Band and Windy City Slickers, and with Laudamus Choir. In Los Angeles she recorded classical selections for flute and piano for KM records; in New York, at the composer's request, she recorded a new work for solo flute. Ms. Concus is featured flute soloist on Shades of Love, an eclectic collection of love songs arranged for flute, voice, and harp.
Ms. Concus holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Flute Performance from New England Conservatory of Music. She also studied in France with Michel Debost, former principal flutist of Orchestre de Paris.
