lowered cooktop & possible cabinet * Posted by: knroberts (My Page) on Mon, Apr 19,

I saw a cooktop on display where the cabinet was stainless steel - the front and sides of the cabinet was the same height as adjacent cabinets but the cooktop area was recessed. This looked like it would be a GREAT safety feature because it would be almost impossible for a child to pull a pot off the stove. The brand of the cabinet was Neff. I got the impression that brand was fairly expensive to do the whole kitchen but one cabinet may be workable. The item I am thinking of is called a cookwell. On the website, I saw where you can even get a cookwell for a corner cabinet and it accepts a 36" cooktop. Neff cookwell within a finished kitchen Cookwell by itself in corner cabinet (and they even have an interesting combo chopping block & trash pullout...) Posted: Tue - April 20, 2004 at 12:47 PM |
