Studio updates

Well we're in crunch mode for sure now. We track drums in 10 days or so with travis, the guy who engineered the drums for Pillar and P.O.D. Tracking drums isn't my strongest point, so we're going to someone better than me so I can learn and so we can bring the heavy iron this time. Always striving to shore up our weak points, so this time around, better guitars, vocals and drums hopefully. What that all translates into would be a bigger sounding record, although I am continually reminded that it's the songs that matter... case in point being Karaoke Superstars which doesn't sound big at all but continues to sell...

Unbeknownst to most people, our drummer Brandon is a skilled keyboard player and bassist as well. Actually Dave is a smoking jazz pianist and a good bassist and Matt... well we can all cross instruments... but Brandon really is good across all of them. It's kind of disgusting how talented he is. Anyways, here's a shot of Brandon from late last night as he put down some bass groove for me.
We're getting real close to having our 10 ideas, but it's gonna be crazy to get there in time. yikes. This is the time in the album where it gets just brutal. Everyone needs something and it's hard to focus on the music with the art department needing the lyrics sent to them and you're like: they're not written yet.
