Pouring one out for Pax 217

Recently we did a show with Pax 217 and GRITS at a 6 flags on the east coast. Pax is among my favorite bands and sadly this is their farewell tour. I tried to grab some shots, but was having a bad photo day and just didn't get anything I liked. I think Pax was one of the great unsung bands of early 2000, along with Earthsuit and the Elms. Musically I always aspired to reach their level of musicianship and energy and lyrically, they were one of the most thought provoking and honest hard rock bands I've heard. You want to understand bleeding for art, download What is love from itunes. Sometimes great art doesn't make for great sales, but I hope the guys in pax reincarnate somewhere to be discovered when the rest of the world catches up.

Here's the photoset:

The albums are still available at itunes and amazon and to me the albums are timeless and well worth owning.
On the trivia tip, Dave's brother Aaron, otherwise known as Skwid played drums with us for awhile. Skwid played with Pax and was last sighted with Hawk Nelson
