Well of course he's done, he's an estelle

Well somewhat unbelievably, we're done with drums in only 2 days. 2 days. I normally leave a week for recording drums and a week for tightening and editing, but rough tracks were completed in 2 short days cause Brandon is... well apparently he's just like his brother Lester and bam.. we're done and Brandon got to sleep in this morning as Dave and I got up at a nice sharp 8AM eastern.. which for those of you who know me is a mite early, considering that I'm used to going to bed at 4 and getting up at 11 central. Here's a shot from last night so you guys can cop Travis' drum micing technique.

Anyways.. with our extra day we're onto guitars and I am picking Travis' brain for special recording ninja techniques and brainstorming ways to become the multi-tasking fast moving monster that is the toby mac production machine as we are in final countdown here... we collected some amps to play with and Dave would be sad if I didn't show you this shot of Dave's happy happiness:

and this one is of Travis and Dave this morning.. minty fresh photo for you straight from Knoxville... less than 4 weeks and counting till mixdown... that deadline is coming up like a light at the end of the tunnel... that is a train... we're going to have to get super super creative to get it done on time.. here's the count... each song has 1 verse and 1 chorus so far... we need 10 more verses and 10 bridges written and final vocals, guitars, keys and editing still to go before mixdown begins.
