Hurricaine Caitlin

Caitlin stopped by the yesterday to throw some strings on a hip hop track I was working on. She's amazingly creative, understands hip hop and rock and is the kind of friend who will go to the park and feed homeless people with me. Her arrival coincided nicely with the arrival of my canon 70-200f.2.8L lens so I made her play model for me in the backyard. I'm sure she'll hate these pictures, but I'm going to post them anyways, to show you what the lens is capable of. (cheesey wedding style pictures is what she'd call it) It's only my first time shooting with it, but already I can see I'm going to like it. These pictures are actually jpegs right out of the camera with the very tiniest tweaks for saturation and contrast. Caitlin showed up holding lunch for me in one hand and the violin in the other. Sometimes you can't find better friends than that. Now if she showed up on a triumph speed triple...

btw... anyone work at triumph? I want a speed triple.

PHOTOGRAPHY NOTE:
I was going to post all kinds of tutorials and how-tos about budget photography, but www.strobist.com already did it, so go there in the meantime. Good solid advice for shooting on a budget.
