Music Video - Day 3

I'm not even sure how to sum up our first shooting day. It was amazing to see the big machine in action, they blocked off the street all day with real cops on harleys and turned it into a set. Between crew and cast and extras there were over 60 people running around. When people ask if I started the band, I normally quip: "well we say it's my fault" and when I said that today, someone gestured to everything and said "so this is all your fault?". And in a way, I realized, it was. It's kind of mind blowing to write lyrics in the basement and then to see them being realized on screen. They even did the car crash scene. It really amazed and humbled me. Even though I've got a video background, I've never been on set for something with a real budget. When people stop to stare at the filming, the crew calls them lookey loos... Well today, I felt like a lookey loo on my own set. I kept having to pinch myself. Thank you everyone, for helping us get here.

Well, off to bed cause we have a 5am call.

PS. A couple of my friends showed up to cameo, including Phillip Von Wrede, founder of Bettie Rocket Records and partial inspiration for this song, Roddy Chiong, an old friend who went on to tour with Shania Twain and Jars of Clay and who made me watch him on Fox's Prison Break last night and my old friend from Apple, Steven Lee.
