Propulsid (or Prepulsid in Canada) is available, with a prescription
from your vet, at compounding pharmacies all over North America.
A compounding pharmacist prepares customized prescription medication
to meet individual patient needs.
There might be a compounding pharmacy near you. Alternatively, many
compounding pharmacies have toll-free phone numbers and will ship; ask
about overnight service if you need it.
To find a compounding pharmacy, you can:
Look in your phone book. If you cannot tell whether the pharmacies
listed are compounding, call the nearest one and ask the pharmacist
where the nearest compounding pharmacy is.
Click International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (with a big red "Help me Find" link that works best in Explorer) or e-mail and mention your city and ZIP code or call 1-800-927-4227.
Then phone the compounding pharmacy to ask:
whether they have Propulsid on hand for veterinary use
whether your vet can phone in the prescription
how they can flavor the med for your rabbit
what methods of payment and shipping are possible
