Charky & Ash

This web site is dedicated to the memory of Charky and Ash.

We found these baby bunnies abandoned in a wooden crate in a dumpster on Key Biscayne, Florida, on February 8, 1996. They were cold, starving, thirsty and soaked in their own urine. We brought them home, had them neutered and tried to find a home for them but we quickly fell in love. How could we not?

They taught us a lot about love and life. They enjoyed life 100% and they loved us unconditionally. They would prefer pets and nose kisses over treats. Since the day we rescued them, they were happy, appreciative, loving and full of life. They were also very mischievious, always looking for trouble or to "rattle our cages" for attention or just for fun. They loved each other very much. They were always together. They ate together, pooped and peed together, and slept together. They delighted us everyday with their antics and we wrote numerous stories about them, which are on this site.

We saved their lives but, sadly, in November of 1998 they both died horrific deaths from poisoning.

We will miss them till we see them again...

This is a cruelty free web site
Charky & Ash would have liked it that way.
