In Memory of Charcoal and Ash
(February 1996 - November 1998)
A rock, you and me.
|
The sun was shinning bright,
through the leaves of autumn light.
Colorful days of seasonal change,
suddenly the woods begin to shake.
The crying sky screams in fear,
Dying trees are shedding brown tears.
A dark cloud envelops your effervescence,
it takes you away in swirling turbulence.
I try to hold on to you ...
I want to go with both of you.
Something pulls me down to earth,
and you two are gone in a breath.
A rock marks your one place,
leaves cover your only grave.
You are together now,
Like the day you were found.
In agony, my heart rips,
you soothe it with your licks.
The wind caresses you in spurts,
I can hear your loud tooth purrs.
I look, I know you are here somewhere,
you became timeless and everywhere.
You left in me your vivid essence,
I can still feel your magical presence.
A rock, both of you entwined
with your souls and mine.
Our spirits will forever survive
in everlasting love.
