Star Chamber for the Mac

If you are here, chances are you are already aware of the game Star Chamber, but in case you aren't, Star Chamber is perhaps one of the greatest strategy games ever invented. You can find out all about it at Star Chamber's official website: http://starchamber.station.sony.com/

In 2006, Sony Online Entertainment purchased Worlds Apart Productions, the former developers of Star Chamber. This has been great for the Star Chamber community because SOE's station.com has attracted a lot of new members. It has had one drawback however.

With the move to station.com in February of 2007, Sony has ceased to "officially" support the Star Chamber Mac client, but thanks to the heroic efforts of Bruce Mitchener at WorldsApart/SOE the client is still being updated for the benefit of us mac players who are already hooked on the game. Unfortunately, they are no longer hosting the installer for the Mac client, hence the need for this website.

In order to play Star Chamber on the mac, you will need to both download and install the mac client from here, then create an account on station.com from their official website.

The mac client is universal. It runs great on intel macs. It will run on G4s and G5s, but is less stable on those platforms. It requires the openAL framework which comes standard on X.4 Tiger. If you are running X.3 Panther, you can install openAL from here: http://www.openal.org/downloads.html
