Michele's modern class contains elements of Pilates, Lewitzky technique, Simonson technique, gymnastics and martial arts. The class emphasizes proper alignment, core support, breath, upside down work, and phrases that challenge ideas of verticality and momentum in movement.

Michele Miller moved to Seattle in 1992 to join the Pat Graney Company. With KT Niehoff she began Velocity Dance Center in 1996. She is currently an Associate Professor at Cornish College of the Arts where she teaches Modern Dance Technique, Modern Partnering Technique, Pilates Mat, Martial Arts for Dancers and Tai Chi. She spent a year as the Artist In Residence at the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts and has taught at Bates Dance Festival in Maine, the Guangdong Modern Dance Festival in China and several universities in the Pacific Northwest. Michele holds a fourth degree black belt in Kajukenbo Kung Fu and is an approved instructor of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. At the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago, Michele won two gold medals for forms, and in 2005 was the Women's Junior Division Grand Champion in Tai Chi at the Hong Kong Martial Arts Association competition. She was a founding member of the d9 Dance Collective and performed with LeGendre Performance Group from 1999 to 2004.
