BCT's "Company 2010" meets once a week for the
entire school year (with breaks scheduled according to
school breaks). It involves students from many schools, so,
what is fostered is a wonderful ensemble. Each time Drue
has cast a year-long company, the students have bonded for
life. They become "family" to one another. It is fabulous
to witness. It's an exciting opportunity to train with
others, and to enter the world of theatre together, in an
inclusive, steadily-paced collaborative way.
Beginning/Intermediate students - those with
little to no experience, with huge desire to learn the
basics of theatre - acting, voice, character work, make-up,
etc. They will engage in wacky games, scene-study,
monologues, and help in creating a collage production
of their year's work to be performed when school lets out
for the summer.
Advanced students - those with a hunger
for deeper training, including Shakespeare, classical
texts, audition techniques, cold-readings and Viewpoints
training. These students will also participate in a
production composed or written specifically for the Company
cast.

Wild Goose Qigong is a system of widely practice longevity
exercises in China that originated in the Taoist tradition.
The exercises represent the daily routine of a wild
goose—a bird of longevity and high energy—and
are effective at helping treat disease, increase energy,
improve mental clarity and brain functions, and maintain
general fitness. Our initial focus will be on teaching and
refining the famous and beautiful form knows as the
“First 64.”
Because the form is a
sequential set of movements that builds on itself, no new
students will be accepted after January 19, unless by
special arrangement with the instructor.
