Things here are progressing nicely, with almost every day
bringing something new; a trick, an ability, or simply a challenge
::grin:: Here are the kids recently just before they began the bed parade. From left to right: Matthew, Taylor, Samantha, and Amanda. |
| Here's Taylor, looking as un-camera-shy as usual. She's doing well now, having solid baby food for all but her 9pm feeding, in addition to some formula. Not every day is a great day, but there are some great faces from new foods that are introduced periodically. Ah, to have a camera some days... She's gotten fairly vocal, and also will be crawling soon. Unlike Amanda (see below), she doesn't move around much, but when she does it's proper crawling, albeit for only a foot or two. |
|
| Matthew is really starting to fill out into one big boy.
While we realize that for 8 months he's probably smaller than
other boys as a result of the quad-birth, he just seems to pack
it away better. No problems eating and drinking here. :-) The only thing we really have to work on with him is his demand for attention. He seems to want it most, and has a tendency to 'squeal' when he doesn't get it. Makes ya wanna start 'time-out' a little early in life. Matthew's not much into movement, which is perhaps a good thing, as he's bound to be hyperactive I'm sure. He's coming around quickly though, having three sisters who are doing quite well to learn from. Unfortunately, his latest thing is giving rasberries - the kind with your lips (phhttt). Kinda embarrassing in line at the checkout when a lady says how cute he is, only for him to respond with a great big PPHTTTTT! |
|
| Amanda seems to know more and more every day when a camera
is around. It'd be pretty hard to find a picture of her unhappy
or not playing to it. Also doing well, she has started with the 'lalala' while sitting on the floor. She's also the first one in the bunch to begin mobility (oh no!). I know, it had to happen sometime. While she doesn't actually crawl, she does drag herself (and quite quickly) by her arms. |
|
| Samantha will be the one to watch out for :-) The first to laugh (and now it's fairly common and hearty when she does), and to pick up on imitating Mom and Dad, she is the quick accelerator. Except for mobility, where she doesn't seem particularly interested in much besides rolling around. She's a strong little girl, and will probably hold her own in the near future with Matthew (hehe). We love her to death, especially her mostly even temper and quiet playing. Her latest thing is playing peek-a-boo. This is kinda funny saying all this, as before parenthood I don't believe I would've gotten the importance or humor of half the things we talk about now. See ya'll in a month, and hope you enjoyed the update. |
