| Taylor, as you can see, is and always will be, a dainty eater.
Rather than taking the full-bore plunge (heh, see below), she
preferred the taste-testing method of cake eatery. With a little help from her aunt, she managed to eat more than a little frosting before it was all over. But the main thing is that she WAS happy; and that, along with thanking all those without whom we certainly wouldn't have maintained a sense of sanity, was what this was all about. Taylor is doing just fine as far as development. Although the smallest of the group still, she's walking around (she likes it best if you hold her hand), and crawls about 30% of the time. She's taken up talking a bit, and seems to be somewhere between Amanda and Samantha (see below) on the whole speech thing. |

| Matthew, on the other hand, had no fear of frosting. Initially testing with a couple of fingers, he soon realized that this was indeed fit for human consumption (most things are to Matthew), and dove right in. There are actually messier pictures, but I decided to stop at the point where he was still recognizable. Needless to say, he had a good time as well. Development-wise, Matthew is doing quite well, if a tad behind his sisters (quite normal as far as boys vs girls development). He prefers to crawl if given the choice, but ironically enough if made to walk, he bursts out of the starting gate, trying to practically run to his instructed destination. He hasn't really gotten into words yet, although we believe, after hearing it often, he now has 'Momma', 'Daddy', and 'NO!' down (hehe). |

| Mandy, Ohhhh Mandy! Underneath this little quiet, happy exterior is an explorer without abandon, and sure enough, as soon as she was satisfied that this was the good stuff...it was ALL OVER (heh, over her, all over the tray, the seat, etc.) Thoroughly excited by the entire prospect, whether it was consumed or not, there was nothing salvageable from her cake by the time we decided it was time for the cleanup detail. We love you Mandy. But you're gonna learn how to use a fork before you date (: At home as a mild-mannered baby/toddler, she has progressed to standing more often, and walking quite well - although she still prefers the proven method of crawling about half the time. That'll end soon. She's starting her regime of talking, catching on soon after her sister (see below). |

| Samantha, although not showing the same amount of gusto as
Amanda, still went at the cake quickly enough after the first
sugar rush coursed through her little veins. She actually ate half of her cake, she just was a bit neater about it than Matthew and Amanda. On the domestic side, she is now heavily into trying to talk/mimic, and at this point prefers to walk over crawl if given the chance. |
