The Rapture
Yes, it's The Rapture.....Shiner Bock has arrived
in
Chicago.
OK,
so I was going to post a blog about watching a documentary call "The God Who
Wasn't There," but decided to post about Shiner Bock's arrival to Chicago. It
got here on Monday, but Shiner's website has not given a list of where to get it
until today. So some time this week - maybe even tonight - I will be enjoying
the nectar of the gods. Oh, wait, that's Captain Morgan....;) For those of you
in Chicago who have not had the pleasure of having this wonderful beer, let me
just say that you might be disappointed with all of the hype that those of us
who lived in Texas have given it. Not to blasphemy this beer, but don't expect
some wonderful German bock beer. It is what is known as an American-style Bock
beer. So it won't be as heavy. It also doesn't have that "microbrew" taste
that is STILL the rage in this country. I find all microbrews taste too similar
(a euphemism for they all taste the
same). So, hopefully you can enjoy a
cold one with me some time!As far as
that documentary I just watched. Well, I was expecting more. It makes a good
argument to start, but it just makes me think of any Michael Moore documentary
or that Loose Change stuff. It was only 1 hour (really about 50 minutes), so it
never got too deep. Enough of that. I'll post something more in depth
later.Marz!
