Wrap that PC!

As promised, I've put up a web page that goes over the basics of keeping your Windoze XP computer relatively safe. I claim no 100% guarantee that you won't get a virus, trojan, worm, spyware, malware, etc. However, if you follow the very basic instructions there, you should be relatively safe.

The couple things I did not include are setting up a non-admin account as your main account and to turn off file sharing. However, if you stay pretty careful, these won't be as critical...though...........to be safe you should do both of those things. I just don't have the experience in doing them to effectively write about them. A simple Google search on those subjects should yield instructions on how to do it. Especially on MS's site. I do use a Mac ;)

Here is a fun link (while it works) to Apple's new Mac ads: http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ That is really the best way to avoid all those nasty things happening on your computer. I have to prevent myself from not saying that like a smartass while I'm fixing someone's XP with my Mac iBook sitting right next to their dead machine ;)

Anyway, it's up. If you have any questions, let me know. Also, any corrections or things that may need to be cleared up, please let me know about that too!
