It burns! The sun! It burns!

Wow, saw the sunrise today. Haven't had one of those all nighters in a long time. It started off at D&B to see Kimberly on her last day. D&B is showing again why they are ID10ts. They told her since she can't work a 55 hour week due to being injured on the job her services were no longer required. Dumb. I guess they feel the settlement is worth it? Who knows. So I had dinner and lots of drinks. Played a few games, won about 8k in tickets. I only need another 75k for an Xbox Deluxe. Hmmmmm.......Did I mention my tab (including power cards chips) was $0? Yeah ;)

Anyway, with Kimberly gone, they are losing yet another great manager. I can't begin to count the number of great managers that company has forced to quit or pushed out. Of course, they've also had their fair share of bad managers...especially AGMs and GMs I've worked with over the years. While there are still a couple other managers there I'm cool with, Kimberly was the last of an old group of managers that I worked with that had a different bond. The ones I worked with that are still there are part of a newer group.

I'm sure they didn't do anything for her like what happened to me. But I also wasn't given some letter saying that I was fired. That was pretty bad in my case. Someone who gave a company 10 years and no one seemed to care on my last day except for the hourly staff and a couple of managers.

OK, so fast forward to after D&B. Hung out with Demetrio and went to Mother's. No drinks there. We were only there for a short period of time. I got a call from some other friends about going out. Then they were going to my friend's place which was a short walk from where I was at. I had instructions to buy beer, but no one was selling that late (2:30AM) :( A quick stop by one of my regular haunts and on to Don's.

Stayed for a couple hours, and then by the time I got home the sun was coming up! Wow. Think it's been Summer since I saw the sunrise like that. Needless to say, I'm pretty tired today and happy I'm off. Watching some college Bball waiting till UT plays later tonight. Staying home too. I don't really like to go out on the other amateur night of the year. Though I might pick up some Guiness to celebrate my Irish side at home while watching sports and eating pizza....mmmmmmm.......pizzaaaaaaa......
