Stupid People
OK, So I get a phone call today from my friend,
Adrian. He tells me he has a seat at a venue and to call him back. So I call
and find out he's got an extra seat for the Laughathon at the Chicago Theater.
Eddie Griffin is the headliner. For those of you who may not remember who he
is, he's the main guy from Undercover Brother, among other
things.
So it starts off with a couple
other comics. Not too bad. They were pretty funny. Then this guy named Katt
Williams comes out. He is hilarious! Crowd is pumped for Eddie. Eddie comes
out and keeps things going. He hits a bit of a lull and some idiot throws a
huge, and I really mean huge, wad of cash on the stage and starts heckling him!
So Eddie begins to roll with it and have some fun. Well, the heckler, or
dumbass as I like to call him, just keeps going on. Eddie tries to have some
fun with it. You could tell that he was thinking, "why hasn't anyone kicked
this guy out yet?" Eddie finally says something about getting rid of him, but
by then, he's lost the crowd. He keeps trying to get us into the routine, but
he's drowning. He even makes a joke about it doing a Sammy Davis, Jr.
impersonation as if he was the president during
Katrina.
Now, here is what I'm
thinking....who is stupid enough to throw that wad of cash out? I mean, it
wasn't some small gangster roll, it was at least 3-4 inches thick, Even it was
all ones, like Eddie said, why would you do that? Also, why wasn't this guy
booted immediately for throwing something on to the stage?
Idiots!
Eddie, almost got the crowd
back during all this by pointing out how stupid this guy was, but he just
couldn't keep the crowd into it. It really became a distraction. There were
people asking for Katt Williams back. People were also just getting up an
leaving. I felt bad for the guy. He was funny, and some dumbass had to ruin
it.
Other than that, it was a really
cool night. I really appreciate Adrian hooking me up to go. I've never gone to
a comedy concert, and it was a lot of
fun.
That's it for
now.
PEACE!
Marz
