Thanks Ken SchramFor drawing a line in the sand. You still don't
get it but at least now you know that most of Seattle likes breastfeeding women.
What an idiot. (I didn't say it first, dad. Kathy Goertzen, KOMO 4's
anchorwoman, did.)
But speaking of people/businesses who do get it, I got to see a wonderful concert at Dusty Strings today. I happened to walk in (we're pricing fiddles for Bü, though we're still at least a year away from buying one--he still likes to throw his toys down the stairs...) just before a live concert by guitarists Boulou and Elios Ferré. Typically, when I walk into a store (or library) with Magnus, we get followed by some seemingly psychic salesperson who knows Magnus' destructive (normal for a toddler) tendencies. But the only time we were approached at Dusty Strings was when we were about to leave. They asked us to stay for the concert. Can you imagine? Most people cringe when they see a toddler at an adult concert but they pulled up a chair for us. Even the musicians seemed to be charmed by Magnus. Magnus was quiet, even entranced, through the concert and the music was wonderful. What a wonderful surprise that a lot to my day. Posted: Wed - June 15, 2005 at 06:05 PM |
