Casting on...
Mother's day was fabulous. Alan bought me a
beautiful locket (I've been wanting one since we had Magnus) and we had a
fabulous sail on the sound. Gorgeous weather, light wind, pink wine and a
sleeping baby. Who could ask for
more?Except maybe a bag of
yarn?
We got Classic Elite Montera, Lamb's
Pride, Katia Mississippi and Koigu. I bought so much yarn I had to start a
spreadsheet to keep track of the projects. Here's another photo of the yarn
organized by project (don't hate me because my yarn is beautiful; it's all for
Christmas presents):
Weaving Works had their annual sale on
Mother's Day and I thought it was a good time to load up for Christmas presents.
I've already started on the Koigu but I can't tell you what I'm knitting because
someone will know who it's for. What I've decided to do is two "big" projects,
such as a sweater or shirt, every year, and additional smaller projects. The
following year, those who got the "big" projects will be rotated to smaller
projects, and two more will get something big. Sound like fun? And it helps the
pocket book.Finally, here are the
faces that rock my world:
We co-sleep but lately the family bed
has been getting too small and Magnus has been in the bedside co-sleeper. This
morning he got hungry at 5am. After I fed him, I took Ceili to the LaDog Park
(Magnusson) where we did not go off leash outside of the park. When I came home,
Alan had brought Magnus into bed for a cuddle. I'm such a lucky
girl.
