Wild Pines Press was established in 2004 after I designed and self-published my poetry collection Domesticated Animus. I knew I could help others design and self-publish their books, realizing their dreams of seeing their work in print. I cannot guarantee sales or commercial success, but I can promise you a book you will be proud of.
My services are geared for people who simply want their work and name in print for limited sales or distribution purposes, or for posterity. Family histories, memoirs, collections of poetry, or other personal writings are ideal manuscripts for POD printing. You don't have to buy and warehouse hundreds or thousands of copies of your book. You pay for only those copies you have printed, print as few as you need at one time, and print more anytime you need them. Your book never goes out of print and you always retain the copyrights to your work.

Fees
Fees are based upon an hourly rate of $20 and are influenced by the following factors:
- length of your manuscript
- complexity of the material
- amount of editing you need
- number of photographs or illustrations you need scanned or included
- amount (if any) of ghostwriting required
- typing required to convert a printed manuscript to an electronic file
- complexity of the cover art
Obviously, fees vary widely from project to project. The design of a 48 page poetry collection with no pictures might cost $200 while a 300 page family history including numerous photos might cost 5 times that. Cover art averages $200.
