VISA REQUIREMENTS
    Everyone planning to visit Australia should be aware that a visa MUST be obtained prior to travel.  In most instances, your travel agent will inform and help you organize the visa application, but ultimately it is the traveler's responsibility.

Depending on your country of origin and/or current passport, you are strongly encouraged to apply for the appropriate visa well in advance (4-6 weeks) of departure for Australia.  Your passport must be valid for travel and the period of your intended stay.  For further information and visa application details (including an online enquiry form for conference participants planning to attend a meeting in Australia), please visit the Australian government's Department of Immigration & Citizenship webpages for Visitors to Australia.  Additional information and help can be found at the Qantas 'Before you travel' webpage.

Please note that the online registration page includes a Privacy disclosure check box regarding demographics.  By checking this box, we will forward official confirmation of your registration including institutional/company affiliation, passport and nationality details to the Queensland International Event Coordinator (IEC) for the Department of Immigration & Citizenship who in turn will forward your details to the relevant Australian consulate/embassyo help expedite and facilitate procssing of your visa application.

LOCAL INFORMATION  ❘  For getting around Brisbane and to/from the conference site at St Lucia, registrants will be collect a Translink go card electronic travel pass with their conference materials at the Welcome Reception at the UQ Aquatic Centre on Saturday, January 31.  The Translink go card electronic travel pass is good for sightseeing around Brisbane by bus, train or CityCat, and for convenient travel between preferred conference hotels in Brisbane’s city centre and the conference site at the University of Queensland’s beautiful St Lucia campus.
